SALEM GENERAL SURGERY

Established in 1997 by Jonathan F. Noel M.D., Salem General Surgery serves the general surgical needs of Washington, Scott, Orange Counties, and southern Indiana.

Elective and emergency procedures are performed including: abdominal, endocrine, skin, gynecologic, breast, and hernia surgeries. Endoscopy, diabetic foot, and problematic wound care are managed, as well as the evaluation and management of most general surgical conditions. Many of the newest techniques, including laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgeries, are utilized primarily at Washington County Memorial, Scott Memorial, and Orange County Hospitals.

Jonathan Noel's Background

• born and raised in Louisville, KY
• bachelor of science in zoology from University of Kentucky with honors
• doctor of medicine from University of Louisville
• training in general surgery for five years at University of Louisville and affiliated hospitals
• fellow in the American College of Surgeons
• certified by the American Board of Surgery 1998 and recertified 2008.
• privileges in most area hospitals, but primarily works at Washington Co., Scott Memorial and Orange Co. Hospitals
• licensed in Indiana and Kentucky
• accepts most all insurances and participates in the BCCP program
• resides in Salem, IN
