ARTS ALIVE ~ Bringing The Arts To Light In Washington County, is a one-day interactive celebration of the arts sponsored by Awareness Washington County. At last year’s event, professional artists led an oil painting workshop, a fiber art workshop, and a glass mosaic workshop. In addition to these workshops, there was a juried art show, story telling, performances by local singers, musicians and actors, and booths with original artwork for sale.
Artist’s Needed We need artists!! Would you be willing to lead a hands-on workshop? Would you like to set up a booth and sell your original artwork? Juried Art Show Open to all artists 18 years of age and older living in the Southern Indiana and Metro Louisville, Kentucky area. Prizes will be awarded to the Best of Show, People’s Choice, Two-Dimensional (1st, 2nd, & 3rd), and Three-Dimensional (1st, 2nd, & 3rd). There is a limit of three (3) entries per participant either two-dimensional or three-dimensional, but only one piece of artwork will be admitted to either category, for a possible two (2) entries total. The entry fee is $5.00 per entry. Photos, entry form, and entry fee must be postmarked by April 2, 2007. All artwork must be delivered to Southern Hills Church, 1645 South State Road 135, Salem on Thursday, April 12, 2007 between 8am and 8pm.

Youth Art Show Open to all Washington County Youth in the 9th—12th Grades. Prizes will be awarded to the People’s Choice and Youth (1st, 2nd, & 3rd). If you would like to submit an artwork for the Youth Art Show, please contact us at jan0215@verizon.net.
