Stevens Memorial Museum

showThe 24th annual quilt show sponsored by the Piecemakers Quilt Guild was held at the Stevens Memorial Museum on Saturday, June 10th, from 10 AM to 4 PM (EST) and on Sunday, June 11th, from 1 to 4 PM (EST).

The quilts were judged in several categories including: honorary, applique, pieced, embroidery and kits, best of show, miniatures, wall hangings, wearable and small quilts.

The guild accepted donations on the hand quilted "Lucky Starts" quilt made by the guild members. It was awarded near the end of the show on Sunday to Valerie Simpson from New Salisbury, Indiana.

The show hosted vendors, along with special sales from local quilt stores: Craft Town, Quilt corner, and the Quilted Cottage.

The featured quilt guild member this year was Judy Saunders, who will have a display on her beautiful quilts.

On Sunday, certified quilt appraiser, Cindy Claycamp, was available to appraise quilts for a small fee.
